Having a good reason to be confident, brave, and courageous helps enormously.
We generally make time for and work on the things that are important to us, so we can use that same concept to our advantage when it comes to courage and self-confidence.
I want to add PASSION to that. 🔥 🔥 🔥
It’s much easier to work on courage and increase self-confidence with tasks that are not only important to you but that you enjoy too.
We need to do more of what we are passionate about because I believe they are God-inspired and can lead to destiny.
There are so many things that you might want to change and transform in your life and many of those things require a kick-start of confidence to do them but believe me when I say, baby steps is the way to go, so as not to get overwhelmed or discouraged from the get go. 👣 👣
So regardless of how many things you want to do, focus on one at a time and the better you get at it, the more your confidence will increase and actually help you to move on to the other things.
Choose something that’s fun and important to you. This will help you to stay motivated. 💪
Perhaps it’s important to you to get fit and once upon a time, maybe you were really passionate about it. However now, you hate the thought of going to the gym and having “fit” strangers look at you. Well….don’t begin by going to the gym! There’s also no rule that says you have to go to the gym get fit.
However, the reasons why you don’t like the gym could simply be because your confidence levels are low about the way you perceive yourself, how you think others will perceive you or your fitness levels.
Brainstorm other ways you could exercise. Perhaps you love dancing or bike-riding. Maybe you like the idea of martial arts. Maybe you have room for some gym equipment in your home, or you could join a fun boot camp. You could begin with following YouTube videos or hiring a Fitness Coach. You could even go for regular walks, alone or with a friend….baby steps. 👣 👣
The point is, there are many different ways to get fitter – but do what you enjoy, do it consistently and build your confidence that way.
Build upon the new habits and focus your time and effort there first, this will go a long way to having the confidence to try other things.
What if, you got so involved with fitness, you loved it so much, having reignited the passion you once had about it, that you ended up retraining as a fitness instructor and it felt like all your Christmases had come at once! You finally felt like you were making a difference and having a positive impact in the world! 💃 🥳
It doesn’t matter what your most important goal or task is, use it, combined with passion, to get started on this journey of building courage and increasing your self-confidence.
My challenge to you for today is to think about what’s really important to you AND what you would enjoy doing, even if you had never done it before or you loved it eons ago but forgot. You won’t know anything more about it until you try!
There’ll always be “stuff” that needs to be done but make room in your life for the things that bubble your passion, because not only are they are often God-inspired, but they are part of your unique make-up, increasing your confidence and can lead to what God is calling you to in the current season. ❤️
